THE TAIGA
Location:
The Taiga is located on the northern part of the North Hempisphere and is in North America, Asia, and Europe. It goes across Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia and Russia.
Climate:
The climate of the Taiga is very cold. It has a subartic climate with very large temperature range between season, but the long and cold winter is the dominants feature. The Taiga is the terrestial biome (bioma) with the lowest annual averages temperatures after the Tundra and permanent ice caps. There rains most in the summer, and snows in the winter, despite it has a low precipitation.
Fauna:
The Taiga is an inhospite area but even so there mammals living there like the foxes, lynxes, bears, grey wolves, minks, squirrels, caribou, reindeers and moose. Some birds are: The Golden Eagle, Raven, Hooded Crow, Owl, Greenshank, Siberian shank...in total there are 283 species of birds living in the Taiga.

Vegetation:
Because the Taiga climate is very low, there is not so much variety of plants. The south part of the Taiga may have trees such as the oak, elm, maple and lime. After all, the Taiga is a large area formed by conifers.
